About
The Road Dawgs Motorcycle Club, formed in 1995, is comprised entirely of full and part-time law enforcement officers, active and retired. The Road Dawgs Motorcycle Club is not affiliated with any other club in the country. Road Dawgs are a select group of law enforcement officers who share a common interest in motorcycling. We are dedicated law enforcement professionals who will not bring negative attention or disrespect to our profession, club or sport. Violation of this basic premise will result in termination of club membership.
The primary goal of the club is to promote brotherhood amongst it's members and the law enforcement community. Applicants and members are required to own a motorcycle, and any make, brand or manufacturer is acceptable. However, cafe racer styles, aka "crotch rockets" are not allowed. Currently there are club chapters located in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Florida, Vermont, New Jersey, Washington and Minnesota.
The registered logo of the Road Dawgs Motorcycle Club consists of top and bottom rockers and a center patch. The name 'Road Dawgs' was chosen after long deliberation and discussion. First, it is not offensive and does not emulate or align itself with deviant behavior, demonic figures or abnormal beliefs. Second, 'Road Dawgs' is a derivation of an often used nickname in law enforcement (road dog) that refers to respected, hard working police who are typcially front line officers. The colors, gold and white, were chosen so an not to be construed as nor resemble that of any outlaw motorcycle club. In addition, the colors represent the high standards that the club has set and our principles, personally and professionally, of doing good, in word, actions and deeds.
